My story…

My career began in Telecommunications, where I worked over 12 years as an electrical engineer. It was challenging and fast paced but when a role at Thermo Fisher opened up, I saw an opportunity to do motivating work that has a bolder meaning for society. I joined Thermo Fisher just over a year ago, helping to design life science instruments for researchers as part of the Genetic Sciences R&D team. I’m able to apply the same knowledge and expertise as an electrical engineer but for the purpose of mission-driven, life-saving work.

– Jessica, R&D Manager

My story…

The FDLP program has given me a unique opportunity to gain exposure into many business areas at Thermo Fisher. I recently worked with business partners in Pharma Services, an area focused on ensuring life-saving drugs, treatments and clinical trials are developed and delivered, safely and efficiently, to patients in need. I toured a clinical trials site in my hometown area and witnessed how drugs are manufactured, stored, packaged and delivered, from beginning to end. Although I’m not directly involved in a scientific role, as part of the Finance team, we are helping the business run smoothly, and in turn, helping patients.

– Dylan, Finance Leadership Development Program (FDLP)
