Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Advice to ManagementSupport management is supreme. Sales management is not up to par with support management. Unfortunately sales is micromanaged which is a downfall for the company.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thesaurus Software (Ashbourne) in Dec 2020
InterviewThe interviewing process with Thesaurus consisted of a formal interview where my past experience and skills were discussed, an online assessment and a second, less formal, interview. The communication I received from Vivienne in HR was second to none. She followed up with me after each step in the process and always made sure to keep me in the loop on the status of the process. This made a huge difference to me as I never felt like I was waiting by the phone or left wondering as I have felt in the past with other companies. Because the communication from HR was so good it actually made me want the job even more. I knew if the company treats it's candidates so well then it must treat their employees well too.
