What’s the best way to have a lack of compensation and incentive conversation in your department? I went above and beyond for years doing extra work, organizations etc and nothing has been reflected in pay. I thought my 5 year was going to finally show something but it did not. I’ve inquired about pay but it’s gotten nowhere.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at ThinkMarkets (United Kingdom) in Feb 2022

    Interview

Their careers website uses Greenhouse, so the application process was quick and easy to complete.

Within a couple of days, their talent acquisition manager reached about pencilling in some dates for screening call.

After a few weeks backwards and forwards and cancellations, I had a screening call with him a month into the process.

Screening call was positive, the talent manager was very personable, and I was pleased with how it went.

I was invited back for two second stage interviews, with their European and Global marketing leads.

For both calls, the interviewers joined the calls late, the proceedings were rushed, and I was cut off abruptly.

What were supposed to be 30-minute calls were cut to 20 minutes, there was no structure, everything was off the cuff, and the proceedings were carried out in way that didn’t help both parties.

I don't care if you have back-to-back calls or how important you think you are - I have taken the time to apply for a role, at least do me the courtesy of dialling in on time and coming prepared.

The European lead was very cold, wasn't personable at all, and didn't make me feel at ease.

The global counterpart was more personable, but also had a cold manner about him.

Two months after the interviews and following several emails to the talent manager with no response, I'm none the wiser about my application.

I haven't appreciated the ducking and diving, and smoke and mirrors approach to the process, if the role has been filled or my application unsuccessful, someone please tell me that.

Competency based questions were asked, no real format or structure for the second round interviews.
