I have been working at ThirdLove full-time (More than a year)

I dont have much to say besides that ThirdLove is the most rewarding job Ive ever had! As a female working in the bay area where there are a lot of guys at companies I never thought there would be a place in the bay area which would embrace me as a woman, my feminist values and ideals, and my work style as a marketer and creative. Kinda fun to be on this journey, feels like we're building something special, really making a big impact and changing something for the better! Most of my jobs in the past have felt like a grind this one doesnt. I have been at the company for more than two years now.

The company has been through lots of changes as they have grown even since I joined. Def some new leaders which for the most part has made us better and stronger. Heidi and Dave have handled it all well and keep pushing us forward. They are leaders I admire as they are obviously passionate, push hard to keep growing, have good values and they set those internally, and at a personal level they try to make any effort they can to get to know me and the other people I work with. They are much better than the ceo’s at prior companies I worked at who had zero passion, could care less about culture, and never made any effort to get to know me or any of the other junior people I worked with then.

The direction we are headed and the strategy is mostly clearly laid out and the expectations my manager sets for my team has been quite clear, although at times it changes quickly. I would rather have that than doing the same thing all the time which was basically my last job.

The people are GREAT and the culture is good. No jerks and I have never worked with somebody I didnt want to hangout with outside of work, and now I do hangout with people from the office because I truly like them and consider them friends. Couldn’t be happier with the people I work with.

Benefits are good, and perks are great. $75 uber credit per month to help with the commute and gym subsidy are really nice.

Maybe fewer meetings. Cant think of any though, keep going!

    Advice to Management

Never change the core of what has been built here the company is unique and I hope to never leave. Embrace the feedback, keep being transparent, keep up the positivity in the office.

    Staff Accountant Interview

    Average Interview

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at ThirdLove (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018.

A staffing agency presented me with ThirdLove's Staff Accountant job description. I had heard of the company and thought it would be a fun and interesting place to work, so I had them pass along my resume. Then, I heard back that someone from the company would like chat over a brief phone screen. About a week later, they had me come onsite to meet a few members of the team in person. This interview lasted about an hour and a half (30 minutes with 3 different team members). After that went well, they provided a short accounting project for me to work on and return before coming back in for a second onsite interview with more team members. I came back about a week later for the second round of interviews where I met all four members of the accounting and finance team as well as some other team members at ThirdLove, so I could get a feel for people that work outside of accounting/finance.
