Thomas & King Applebees were always fun and vibrant. We developed great teams and had low turnover because we built honest relationships with our team members.
The company had a list of admirable values for us to live as managers. Unfortunately, the commitment to the values did not carry upwards to senior management at all times.
Advice to Management
Being the best example for the people we lead is everyone's responsibility. Leading by example requires positive public actions, not simply posting one's expectations with the directive to make them happen.
