Mission: Our Mission is "To positively influence our team members and the community around us."
John Thompson and Paul Thrift began laying plans for their future business partnership while attending Indiana State University. Those plans came to fruition in 1986 with the founding of Thompson Thrift. Since that time, Thompson Thrift has grown from a locally focused real estate development company into an integrated, full-service development and construction company with a national scope. Thompson Thrift's commitment to Excellence, Service and Leadership has been and will remain a hallmark of the company as it moves forward into the future.
At Thompson Thrift, each project is regarded as a partnership with our clients and we promote a working environment in which communication and service are essential. We embrace a philosophy of transparency in conducting business and are proud of the culture of customer service we have developed. We stand behind our work and much of our success has been built on the business of repeat customers and referrals.
Our business model provides us with the in-house capabilities necessary to acquire a site, design a building, construct the building and lease, sell or manage it. Our seamlessly integrated menu of services and functions affords our partners the resources to reach their project goals, regardless of the job's size or complexity.
We are proud of our achievements and that we are nationally recognized for the work we do. However, these accomplishments are only part of our story. Our culture, values, facilities, and most of all, our people define who we are.
Thompson Thrift embodies a culture defined by a commitment to the core values of Excellence, Service and Leadership. The hallmarks of this culture include: a high regard for each individual's contribution, an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork and commitment to work that improves communities and people's lives.
Are you ready to join us in making an impact on our communities?
Thompson Thrift is more than a successful construction and development company. We are a group of leaders who serve one another and our communities. As a company, we are involved in many local charities, our employees serve on multiple boards and we encourage this! Throughout the year our employees are involved in mentoring elementary school children, serving meals at The Light House Mission, participating in leadership activities and raising funds and awareness for many local and national charities.
At Thompson Thrift, we embrace our culture of hard work, dedication and rewarding ourselves for our successes. We believe in the significance of sharing social activities with one another and our families. We host many activities throughout the year, allowing time to build relationships outside our offices, which in turn forms a better work environment.
I have been working at Thompson Thrift full-time (Less than a year)
Reasonable, engaged with their staff, and they ensure that you are taken care of both at work and at home.
None to speak of at this time.
Advice to Management
Keep up the great work. I've never felt more at home with a company.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Thompson Thrift (Terre Haute, IN) in January 2018.
The interview process was straightforward including a panel and various stakeholders. They seem to be making a concerted effort to make sure new hires fit with the team and culture.
