I have been working at TiVo full-time (Less than a year)
My skill set is valued even though I am an "older" worker. This emphasis on value of the person, regardless of age , highlights TiVo's commitment to diversity in the workplace. I brought experience with TV analytics products and digital advertising both from the advertiser side and supplier side to my new position at TiVo. Highly recommend looking at TiVo in a job search.
Only downside is crazy commute traffic. But that's a given with so many positions in the market.
Advice to Management
Keep up the openness to hiring diverse talent.
I had about 5 interviews from the team manager to the system architect. Every interviewer was concept oriented with some basic C/C++ questions and more intuitive questions on projects. Was also asked a couple of design questions based on abstract classes and virtual functions.
