I have been working at Tillotson Design Associates full-time (Less than a year)
A fast paced firm, Tillotson Design works on a broad scope of high-impact architectural projects. They employ a diverse group of people that are fun to work with and are passionate about lighting and architecture. Work is performed in small "teams" that take on a multiple projects in different phases, providing a dynamic and stimulating work flow.
Work load ebbs and tides, and while hours are usually within reason, they almost always greater (or much greater) than the contractual "minimum". This is neither explicitly or implicitly described in the hiring process. Industry related demands often pop up unexpected and unannounced, which can make planning one's personal life difficult.
