I have been working at TitleMax full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Highest Standard of Excellence in Service that I’ve seen. Compensation Structure that allows you to truly set financial goals and accomplish them. Performance based, meaning that you’re not waiting in line behind unproductive, “entitled” players that have been there longer than you. Strong Wholistic Leadership Team. Provide a much needed service at very competitive rates. TitleMax will continue to attract the very best talent because of their growth mindset and commitment.

    Cons

I’ve read through many of the responses pros and cons. I can’t speak for those folks, but will say that this is not for everyone. One con would be the reviews on this website. Most of the negative reviews about the leadership are either outdated, or came from individuals that didn’t get close enough to those leaders to understand their hearts and passion for people and desire to see them have a real win in their life. I’ve witnessed character in action from the folks at the highest levels. If there are character flaws in local or lesser positions, it’s just a matter of time for it to get resolved. There are only cons if you have a fixed vs. growth mindset or somehow don’t understand the need that this service fills in our communities. This place just doesn’t cater to the average or complacent employee, but any growth environment wouldn’t. If you have excelled at other companies you will thrive here, if you haven’t, it will probably be the same here. The demands are high on service, greeting customers, interacting with them, interacting with your teams, encouraging their growth both personally and professionally, it takes a lot of mental energy to be purposeful with these things. If you like a more relaxed, transactional environment, punch in and punch out type environment, a “have a nice day” environment then I would not apply. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and love Growth and being compensated “ongoing” for that growth then this will be for you. I can’t disagree that this company has high expectations, but they also have great systems, support and leadership that allow high performers to have a great work/life balance and create a greater quality of life through profit sharing. To thrive here, you will be stretched and coached to become the best version of you that you can become. And that is just not for everyone.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire the very best talent. Continue to develop internally and promote from within. Continue to keep a growth Mindset so that I can feel more secure working for a company that has the very best people providing the very best service.

    Contract Graphic Designer Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TitleMax (Savannah, GA) in January 2011.

    Interview

The interview process took 3 days... although there was no actual interview but yet their human resources just wasting my time. On Monday, I received a call to set up a phone interview for the next day. I was told it would take about 15-20 minutes of my time so I set it up for the next day at 11 am. I was prepared with my resume and the company website and job description pulled up on my computer and was awaiting the 11 appt. for my interview. 11 am came and went and about 40 minutes later I received a call that I did not answer and the girl was apologetic and explained that she was caught in a meeting (didn't sound to truthful but I gave her the benefit of the doubt) and to please call her back at my earliest convenience. So, that afternoon, I called to reschedule.

She rescheduled the interview for 9:30 the next day and the next day 9:30 came and went. I did not hear from her until late that afternoon (around 3 pm) and there was no apology and no explanation for missing the appointment this time. She acted like nothing was wrong and that we did not have an appt. that morning and that she just needed 15-20 minutes of my time, to call her at my earliest convenience. So after wasting 15-20 of my time and then some over the course of two days I decided I did not need to work for a company such as this. I don't care how bad I need a job I will not accept someone treating me as if my time does not matter... especially after the second time that this happened. I did not call her back and decided to post this instead of wasting my time and breath with her. I hope someone else finds this useful and that my time here was better spent.
