I have been working at Tobii DynaVox full-time (More than a year)
Tobii Dynavox has been voted one of the Post-Gazette top workplaces back to back years (2016-2017) for good reason. The work is rewarding because of the impact it has on people, and the employees are passionate about it. Management seems to genuinely care about employee satisfaction. Very family-friendly culture: company outings, bring your kid to work day, flexible schedule and work environment, etc.
Lots of work to do and not enough time or hands to do it. Salaries are fair but can't compete with the big guns (e.g. Google) or startups in the area.
Advice to Management
Don't extend the product portfolio beyond your resources
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tobii DynaVox (Pittsburgh, PA).
A phone call, then an awkward in-person meeting. They did not emphasize technical skills in the interview process, but looked more for a cultural fit among the team. They talked mostly about what the company does, and seemed to emphasize the satisfaction of helping people through the work that they do.
Ordinary. I got what I asked for.
