I have been working at Topco Associates full-time (More than a year)
Very competitive base salaries; regularly pay out at or near 100% on bonuses; trying to improve culture and reputation
Low bonus % relative to comparable positions at other companies; higher benefit costs vs. similar roles at other companies; no vesting in 401k until 2 years of employment have been completed; business model makes it difficult to achieve goals, individudal cooperative members often make it difficult to do what's best for the entire cooperative
Advice to Management
Work on cost of benefits and a more progressive workplace environment to attract and retain talent long term, especially young talent to sustain the company. Also be more realistic about the time needed to implement processes and strategies and do more thorough preparation; understand what it will truly take to get things right the first time vs. moving forward asap and causing a lot of unnecessary work to fix issues that could have been prevented.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Topco Associates (West Palm Beach, FL) in June 2016.
You go through either a recruiter or staffing agency, The Director will call you on the phone and speak with you briefly, then if they like you then you are asked to come in for a face to face. As you are interviewing, they show you only the good side ( of course ) but once you are there, it is a VERY DIFFERENT STORY.
