We believe if the actions you take today will drive the future of tomorrow, you should make them count. We’re working to build something amazing, thinking outside the box to democratize business, changing the way business is done. Passionate about our vision to connect every company in the world and create economic opportunity for all, we have built a team to make Tradeshift a better workplace for all.

At its core, Tradeshift is a challenger brand, an interrupter of the status quo. We are uniquely positioned to make a difference: to disrupt a global economic reality that desperately needs disrupting. As we strive to transform the world, we must continually transform ourselves, both as a company and as individuals.

Our culture began day one when three Danes poured their all into creating a platform that could connect every business in the world. We expect each employee to approach their work with the same amount of pride and passion. One day you might find us having a ping pong match in the middle of the work day, and then you’ll find us handing off projects to colleagues in different time zones so we can continue progress around the clock.

Tradeshifters come from various backgrounds and nations, and we all thrive off challenging the status quo. We take pride in nurturing employee happiness, encouraging personal development, and welcoming teammates from all walks of life.

I have been working at Tradeshift full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Over the last three months, the company‘s response to COVID-19 has been incredible. They’ve shown a tremendous amount of empathy and care for all the employees around the world. Weekly emails, encouraging the employees along with company updates from the CEO were very helpful. They were very quick to close their offices, keeping employees and their families safe. Then, with all the attention around BLM, the company has once again shown their true colors by what they’ve said to employees, but more importantly, the way I see them behaving. Adding Juneteenth as a US holiday was a bold move that I really appreciated.

    Cons

Tradeshift is growing fast. You have to be willing to pivot when necessary. You need to be ready for change, because there’s a lot of it. Tradeshift is also doing a lot of work from home, but at least it looks like you get to choose if you want to be in an office or at home. If you love being in the office all the time full of employees, that might be difficult, but that’s probably going to be difficult for every company

    Advice to Management

Be clear on our priorities. Help us understand what we need to focus on and help all of us focus on the same things to achieve a common goal. Help us eliminate any potential duplication of work, or misunderstandings between teams. Exemplify the value of one team, one mission.
