Best Places to Work: 2014 (#3)
I have been working at Travelzoo full-time
Employees are friendly, smart and collaborative. Office locations are fantastic. Management is always striving to improve and keeps an close ear to the ground. Work/life balance is valued. Lots of perks.
As a company, would like to see more community involvement.
Advice to Management
Keep striving to make Travelzoo the very best it can be by investing in people and technology.
I applied online. I interviewed at Travelzoo in July 2017.
The process started off very smoothly. I had a video interview with the recruiter and we spoke for almost 45 minutes. At the end she told me she was putting my application at the top of the list and that I would hear back in a few weeks. Less than a week later I got an email from the recruiter saying they were not moving forward with my application. Totally fine, but don't say things like, "You're a top candidate," unless you mean it.
According to a new study, people are more likely to use credit to buy experiences -- a vacation, wedding, tickets to a concert -- vs. goods like grills and televisions. What do you value more? A unique experience or a material purchase?—30+ days ago
Special thanks to Tina Brown, C.B.E, founder and CEO of Women in the World Media & creator of the Women in the World Summit, who hosted yesterday’s Travelzoo sponsored event spotlighting the issue of lack of gender diversity within listed companies.—30+ days ago
