I have been working at Trilliant full-time (More than 3 years)
Trilliant Networks is a smart grid company and some find that cool and trendy. The building in Redwood City, CA is attractive. The office is very modern with a lot of glass. The weather in Red Wood City is very special (even for the bay area). It's close to the Oracle building which is a nice place to have lunch and go for a walk at lunch time.
Lay-offs frequent. Top heavy with Management. Some promotions happen, but not many. Payed time off (PTO) is 10 days a year regardless of whether your sick or on vacation. 50+ hours a week but paid on salary to avoid OT pay. Training was very minimal and of poor quality. Salaries are low and a raises only happen when forced in my experience.
Advice to Management
If customers can't easily get the support they need to make the product work, then they will find another option. Making customers pay for support ultimately hurts sales. With regard to promotions, someone who has functioned at a lower level often knows the inner working of that department better than an outsider who's never worked at the company. We people see that salaries and low and promotions are infrequent, the smart one move on.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Trilliant.
Got the call for phone screening. The phone interview by the team member followed by onsite interview within 2 weeks. Onsite interview was conducted by 3 people including senior managers
