I have been working at Troika Entertainment full-time (More than a year)
For a first national tour, Troika is a good employer. You get paid well enough and end up with a good entry on your CV. The shows are very high quality with super directors, including the musical director.
With later tours of the same show, be ready for a lot of one-nighters. Having a week in a city is fantastic. We never had longer than that, with the third year of "Fiddler on the Roof." The company manager who was on the tour with us was a little out of his depth but it was OK.
Advice to Management
The biggest problem to cast morale was lunch stops at obscure areas with little to choose from of nutritional quality. Better planning on the stops was really needed. You can't satisfy everyone but few were satisfied every day.
