I have been working at Tropicana Entertainment full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

location is convenient for the employees. Full time employment is difficult to find in this industry in the state of Louisiana.

    Cons

Smokeplace enviromment is unhealthy for workers.. Lack of flexibility for employees. Lack of training for workers. Low tips compared to other casinos.

    Advice to Management

Provide better training for the workers. Try to provide improved worker conditions to lessen turnover at the property.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tropicana Entertainment (Evansville, IN) in January 2016.

    Interview

The interview was friendly, casual, and inviting. Talking to the hiring manager was easy and comfortable. He was incredibly friendly, but also professional, and put me at ease immediately. There was no extra "fluff" to the interview process, no hard-line questioning, and the manager represented his company with the utmost professionalism and courtesy.
