How does TrueLine Publishing view vocational education, as opposed to a four-year degree? Find out here, in this Q&A with our CEO, Haj Carr... you just might be surprised!
Try to think of 3 adjectives that describe you. It’s hard, right?
Now, try to tell your own story and why you’re different — even harder. Even if you can do it, people don’t always believe what you say about yourself, your services and your company.
That’s where TrueLine Publishing comes in. Our staff writes original, compelling stories about you or your business. Then we publish it in one of our 6 award winning digital magazines. That same story appears on our website, social media and distributed to targeted readers across the nation.
Here’s how it works: TrueLine researchers help you find a topic you want people to know about. It could be a new product or a project you’re working on, or a new executive whose presence is going to make a big difference for your business.
Then, you get to work with a bright, creative team of writers to get your message across in style and format that makes it very likely to be read by clients, colleagues and people you never thought you could reach before—in short, your staff and new clients.
You get to review the story, and you get a digital copy of it.
Working at TrueLine means making an impact on hundreds of companies and executives across the nation. We believe that every company has a story to tell - old, new, growing, struggling, ordinary, unique - and we dedicate ourselves to sharing it in an effective, meaningful and beautiful way.
Our work at TrueLine has only just begun and we're looking for smart, ambitious people to join us in helping companies improve their communications and reach those they once thought impossible. Visit the TrueLine Publishing website to learn more and apply today.

I have been working at TrueLine Publishing full-time (More than a year)
Everyone here really cares. Sounds cliched but it's true. I have met some of the most amazing people in the past year and it keeps getting better. The office is fun, people are interesting and genuine and everyone gets along. There is always some new opportunity or venture happening so the office feels alive and vibrant. This place is constantly evolving and usually based on what us staffers suggest. It's cool to see and be a part of!
You have to be a self manager or you will fail. That is by design, I think, but it's definitely true. I have had to really up my game on self-motivation, not a lot of babysitting. As a younger staff member its taken some getting used to but I feel more independent as a result.
Also, I think we need new carpets. Not trying to be nit-picky but I love me a good carpet. Word on the street is that they are coming but I will believe it when I see it :)
Advice to Management
Keep being awesome. Some managers are more experienced and helpful than others but everyone obviously cares and also helps. The management style is definitely about getting people to understand and ultimately manage themselves, sounds great on paper but if you're not used to self management it can take some getting used to. After being here for over a year, I couldn't imagine working under any other style though.
