I am a practice manager of 5 different specialty practices. I drive an hour each way to my job. I was told last year and now again this year that I do not qualify for a raise based upon my yearly review. Mind you none of my physicians have made any complaints on me during the calendar year. Only at the end of the year during my review. They did not take into account the other physicians who gave me rave reviews. I feel it is time for me on. What are your thoughts?

Why are the jobs so "all or nothing"? I'm a newly licensed phlebotomist and career changer with teenagers. I'm finding that clinics demand 9-10hr days, 5 days/week with lots of evenings and weekends. Blood banks work unpredictable 12+ hour days . And they'd all rather be chronically understaffed with high turnover than have reasonable or even <gasp!> family-friendly schedules. I did mobile insurance exams for a few months but it was sketchy and the pay was a joke. Your thoughts?

is healthcare safe from AI? are there layoffs in healthcare recently?

I just graduated last month. I am excited to get into the healthcare industry, but all the comments I have read are scary. It is really that bad?. I'm certified as a medical administrator and have 25 + years of experience as a customer service manager, and after covid, I am just wanting something with stability in my career. Any advice please. The only clinical training I received was when I did my placement in college and 5 weeks it's enough experience, I think. I live in Canada.
