Company Updates

  • Our salute to veterans closes with David Savage, a cyber security analyst at Tufts Health Plan, helping to design and deploy technology in the company. For twelve years, he served in the United States Navy, and currently serves in the Air Force National Guard, where he performs tasks like engineering network infrastructures for military bases. David kept close two values in his career: honesty and integrity.

“Once I learned the benefits Tufts Health Plan offered its Veterans, I knew the company was a reflection of my own values. The fact that Tufts Health Plan is open to hiring those active in the National Guard who may be deployed at any given moment hit home for me. I’ve been deployed twice since I started here, but the military gave me the tools and skills to multitask, and I’m proud to say my employer supports that.”

We're proud to have you on our team. Tufts Health Plan works with Dolce Center for the Advancement of Veterans and Servicemembers at Northeastern University & FourBlock with hope that more Veterans like David will continue their careers at Tufts Health Plan.

2019 Latina Equal Pay Day: A Conversation with Nora Moreno Cargie - Boston Women's Workforce Council

November 20, 2019 marks #LatinaEqualPay Day. Like national equal pay day, this day symbolizes how far into the year Latinas have to work to earn what white men earned in the previous year.

Tufts Health Plan – Why Work With Us?

Tufts Health Plan is nationally recognized for its commitment to providing innovative, high-quality health care coverage, and has been serving members for 40 years.  Staying true to our mission of improving the health and wellness of the diverse communities we serve, we touch the lives of more than 1.16 million members in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire through employer-sponsored plans; Medicare; Medicaid and Marketplace plans, offering health insurance coverage across the life span regardless of age or circumstance.

We are continually among the top health plans in the country based on quality and member satisfaction. Our Tufts Medicare Preferred HMO and Senior Care Options plans received a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the highest rating possible.

Corporate Citizenship:

We bring value to our members through our products and services, and also through a corporate culture defined by the highest ideals of integrity, respect, responsibility, and citizenship. We do this by connecting and cultivating relationships with the people and communities around us.

At all levels, Tufts Health Plan employees are building these relationships. They follow their own passions and interests, donating goods through annual holiday giving, food, and clothing drives; volunteering their time to support the communities where they live and work; and giving money to organizations that close to their hearts.

In 2018 more than 1,200 (45 percent) of our employees volunteered 11,457 hours to local nonprofits – surpassing our goal of 10,000 hours in the community. We take the sum of those actions to create a palpable culture of responsibility and generosity. Through our employee match program, the Tufts Health Plan Foundation donated more than $850,000 to community organizations in the four states where we do business. The Tufts Health Plan Foundation has given more than 32 million dollars back to community nonprofits since 2008.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Tufts Health Plan full-time (More than 3 years)

Their flexibility and work/life balance makes me want to work harder. I am able to manage my work as well as personal life as a working parent with ease, while still getting my work done.

I feel very supported by my boss, and an confident they are committed to my development and career progression. I was able to participate in an internal fellowship program this past year that widened my internal network, and gave me a great opportunity to present to senior leadership as well as my peers, and learn new aspects of our business.

    Great caf, amazing gym.

Employees truly seem like a family-- very supportive environment, from senior leaders to front line staff.

Commute - but my one-two work from home days per week make up for it.

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tufts Health Plan (Watertown, MA) in September 2019.

Was asked to send an email about my current job experience in detail and that followed up with a general call with the recruiter. Then i had the onsite interview with the hiring manager and the questions were mostly based on my previous experience and some situational questions. On the same day i was asked to come for a second round of onsite interview. Next week i had a second onsite interview with a vice president and an associate director and questions were similar to the first interview (mix of situational and from previous experience). Next day i was presented with an offer which i accepted as it met the industry standards. Overall the recruiter was very prompt in response and answered any questions any questions i had quickly.
