We continually rank among the top health plans in the country based on quality and member satisfaction. Our private HMO and PPO plans are rated 5 - the highest rating possible - by the National Committee for Quality Assurance*. Only 5 companies across the country achieved this distinction. Our Tufts Medicare Preferred HMO and Senior Care Options plans earned a 5 star rating - the highest rating possible - from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for 2016. Tufts Health Plan is proud to have joined more than 50 companies in Boston who have signed the Boston Women’s Compact pledge, a key element in local efforts to eliminate the gender wage gap. These companies publicly support efforts to create pay equity by working to accomplish the following three goals: understanding the root causes of the wage gap through analyses of internal employment practices and data, closing the gap by increasing women's wages to equal those of their male counterparts, and continuing to measure the success of these efforts.

Tufts Health Plan conducted an analysis of our own pay with regard to equity between men and women, and between minorities and non-minorities. The results were positive and confirmed what we believed: while there are differences in pay, those differences are not based on gender or race, but based on individual factors such as experience and performance. Our commitment to strong and fair internal employment practices and regular review of employee compensation ensures we continue to provide equal pay for equal work.
