I worked at Tullett Prebon full-time (More than 5 years)
1. The working environment was very lax and the people were generally friendly. 2. Most managers were easy going 3. Very comfortable work/life balance, got to leave early when it was slow.
1. Very difficult to rise up within the company, unless you have a strong connection to higher ups. 2. Raises were non-existent and bonuses decreased almost every year. 3. A lot of "managers" had the title, but knew nothing about managing people. 4. The lax environment paved way to lazy employees and people that were not willing to learn and grow. Working with these types of people was difficult.
Advice to Management
1. Listen more to your employee needs and compensate them appropriately. 2. Instate a quarterly review process so that your employees know where they stand.
I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at Tullett Prebon (New York, NY) in July 2015.
Talked to hiring managers about aspirations and past experience. Was a one on one with veteran traders as many of them gave great insight on what the job demands of a person.
