I have been working at Tully Rinckey PLLC full-time (More than 3 years)
The firm has many departments and as I read some of the reviews they seem focused on the "Client Relations Department" which are the lowest paid (thus highest turnover) employees in the firm who answer the phones and handle the initial phone screens so crazy people don't get through and waste an attorney's time. Client relations does have turnover because the people in that department have to deal with a lot of crazy people calling the office all day for not a lot of money. However, I think most of the Attorneys and legal support staff are very happy with this company. Unlike other law firms this place compartmentalizes its operations so attorney’s focus on practicing law, legal support focus on helping the clients and the attorneys, the finance dept focuses on client bills, and client relations screens the whacky phone calls. It would help if the reviews were broken out by department….
This company has had double or triple digit growth since it was founded in 2004. That is 12 years of growth. That growth comes with a lot of change. The firm is in a constant state of change. This place is more like a tech startup company than a law firm. If you are coming from the old traditional law firm wherein the most recent great invention to the practice of law was a fax machine, this isn’t the place for you as they use cutting edge computer systems and are a ‘paperless’ law firm.
Advice to Management

It was 3 rounds of interviews - first round was with a business operations person. 2nd round was with a peer level attorney. 3rd and final round was with the managing partner.
Anthony Kuhn, Managing Partner of our Buffalo, NY office, and Sean Loos represent the firm at a Buffalo Law School career fair on February 8, 2017.
