    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Tuomey Regional Medical Center part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Managers are easy to work with and you can pretty much make out your own schedule. If you are full time, you can work as many hours as you like throughout the hospital.

    Cons

It take so long to get a raise. And if you are PRN or part-time they seldom let you go over the 24-30 hr limit unless it is convenient for them.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to keep doing what your doing and give raises every so often. This can greatly boost morale.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tuomey Regional Medical Center (Sumter, SC) in February 2012.

    Interview

I had a friend who just got a job there and was extremely happy. She told me about the position, but I already saw it online. I applied on line. I had my friend call to see if they received my application. They were undergoing computer conversion! They called back right away and set up interview with my direct report. She moved me on to the next interview with senior leadership. After that interview she offered me the job the same day. I told her I had to talk to my husband. She called me back and we negotiated the salary a little higher

    Negotiation

The negotiation phase was fine. They definitely gave me more than the position was originally budgeted for. My advice is, don't give up a job there because of a few thousand dollars. You will definitely lose out!!!
