What we do

U.S. Bank is the fifth-largest U.S. commercial bank, operating in more than 3,100 banking offices and holding $461 billion in assets. But the U.S. Bank story is about much more than banking.

Working together

Our 74,000 employees work across departments to help our 18 million customers turn their dreams into reality. We take ownership of projects and initiatives and innovate to provide the best results.

We pride ourselves on diligently and ethically upholding U.S. Bank’s best-in-class financial record and legacy of more than 150 years in banking.

Most importantly, we put people first, cultivating and treasuring meaningful relationships with the customers we serve, the colleagues we support and the communities where we live and work.

Why we do it

Our work makes a difference. We’re committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work, and supporting our colleagues through unexpected hardships. With up to 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer, employees last year reported more than 220,000 hours of community service; 1,250 employees are board members of community-focused organizations.

On a national scale, U.S. Bank is a proud supporter of United Way, among other organizations. Last year alone, employees pledged more than $2.5 million through individual contributions and special fundraising events. Foundation grants and corporate donations added another $23.7 million to the total.

We take care of one another, too. The U.S. Bank Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) assists employees when they need help the most. Funded primarily by employee contributions, EAF has granted more than $6 million to 1,700+ employees since its inception in 2008.

    Interview

definitely need to understand people outside of yourself. People persons required if you really want this job. They need a personality that can deal with any situation since you are talking on the behalf of a financial institution.
