Teaching highly motivated, working adult students in more than 95 different programs, our adjunct/faculty and collegiate faculty have the freedom to work online from most locations in the world — or on-site at one of more than 100 classroom locations, both within the United States and abroad. Some classes even utilize a hybrid format with face-to-face and online learning, leveraging both formats to offer the best of both worlds.


Faculty Careers

Here you’ll find the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals from diverse backgrounds – ranging from academia to military officers and corporate executives – bringing real-world experience to our curriculum, and providing our students with the practical skills and knowledge to improve their lives for the better.

Adjunct Faculty

Our adjunct faculty teach a maximum of 18 credits per academic year, either online, on-site or in hybrid courses at our many locations across Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. 

Collegiate Faculty

In addition to adjunct/faculty positions, UMUC occasionally has collegiate/faculty positions, which include such administrative roles as Academic Directors and Program Directors.

    Pros

    Love working here. Great pay and benefits. Great HR team and leadership. We now have online rewards and recognition for all global faculty and staff. Employees have a voice with annual engagement surveys.

    Phone interview was followed by a verbal offer, then a referral to HR. After the phone interview, there was very little personal contact. Most of the correspondence is by email.
