Learned a lot about the technical and financial consulting business while at UMT.
Was restricted as to what I could work on as an Intern
I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at UMount Consulting Group.
On Campus Interview at a premier B-School. One of the interviewers arrived late and did not have my resume. I supplied him with a resume which he skimmed through and then looked at me and asked - What should I ask you, you do not seem to have any relevant experience? This was not only rude coming from a partner but also a let down. I have a diverse set of project management experience in software and engineering industry - he probably failed to glean that from my resume. While, I did not have a PMP certification, I never thought it would be a deal breaker considering my 4-5 years of project management experience. Its like saying a PE certification makes someone a better engineer. Very shallow recruiting process. The interview was primarily behavioral.
