I have been working at UNHCR full-time
I work in a very team oriented environment in Cairo with extremely professional people that work together to get a very difficult job done with a very high volume of refugees per month. The supervisors are great and care about your success and the success of the mission. They will give you great feedback and help you as much as possible.
Coming from the U.S. and having to take a severe cut in salary as a local Egyptian employee rather than an international employee is very difficult. Hard to support a family in the U.S. on an Egyptian salary.
Advice to Management
I applied online. I interviewed at UNHCR (Africa, IN) in November 2016.
i applied online sometime for the above position, and few months after submission of my application i got a reply informing of the online test i was to have i sat the online test and after that few months after i was informed i was to have a skype interview and needed to prepare , i did as instructed and sat the skype interview which was a nice experience and i think i gave it my best shot because i had prepared for the interview.
