Really great and smart people, awesome benefits, and meaningful work that actually makes an impact in the world. I love working here.

Departments differ greatly in the support that they offer staff to maintain work/life balance; some are great at it, and some are not. Communication and management skills are spotty as well, so the experience that staff have at the organization can be all over the map.

    Advice to Management

Set clearer expectations and be more open about the pathway for advancement. Communicate consistently and regularly with all staff; we're getting better at this one, but still needs work.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at US Green Building Council in August 2015.

There were 3 rounds of interview. They seemed to be in the middle of hiring a lot of people so it took about two months to get through. While I was always told I would hear back in 1 week, it always took them 2. The first two rounds went well and they seemed interested in hearing from me. The final round was really disappointing. The interviewer didn't seem invested in the conversation from the get-go. I actually have no idea why they asked to set aside that time since I knew as soon I spoke to her that she wasn't going to choose me.
