    Pros

Working at the MDA comes with a litany of benefits. Not only do you get the freedom of working as a civilian for the Department of Defense, but you also get to work with some of the world's most smartest and 'mission-driven' individuals.

The selection criteria is very tight so if you are fortunate enough to be selected to join the MDA, wear the honor loud and proud.

    Cons

The MDA plays a material role in the bureaucratic web of the USG. You must remember that minor things (your individual matters) may move at a viscus pace. Also, if you are looking for a 'career change' into an agency such as the MDA, you will definitely start from the bottom (PhD or bachelors degree).

    Advice to Management

There is a need to empower lower-level employees with decision-making responsibilities.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at US Missile Defense Agency in May 2017.

    Interview

Was contacted and interviewed the very next week. Poor communication from the recruiter, I had to ask multiple times for directions to the interview and she kept trying to change the time to interview. This was a four person panel interview and each person asked me only one and exactly the same question (which made me feel very uncomfortable and honestly discriminated against) . When the third person on the panel asked me the same thing, I want to just grab my stuff and leave because I begin to believe that this panel interview was a joke and it's members were were only interviewing me because they "had to". It's officially been 8 weeks and haven't heard back from MDA (Not surprised).
