I have been working at USS Missouri full-time (More than a year)
The Association cares about it's employees. It's evidenced on a regular basis through their actions. Through their benefits package to employee BBQs and other shows of appreciation they take every opportunity to take care of the people that work here. The employees themselves work incredibly hard but despite this love their work. I was an honor working here and I would do it all over again. There's a lot of room for upward mobility and you really feel like you could have a future here if you wanted to work for it.
There's so much more to do. Restoration to script writing, event coordination to shipboard tenting. The very nature of the venue ensures that the work will never end.
Advice to Management
Tent the fantail touring areas for guest comfort. One more tent back there and you would have a rainy day route that ensures the tour doesn't degrade every time the weather turns. It would also protect the guests from sun. Traditional tenting vs. effective modern tenting, so with modern tenting. It's stronger, takes less maintenance and is close enough visually to traditional tenting that this is a minor issue. Guest and employee comfort is a keystone of the overall experience.
