I have been working at Uberflip full-time (Less than a year)
As a software developer, there is no better place to be in Toronto right now.
The people, the product, the vision, the processes, the execution, the momentum, the potential, the pace, the office space, the events, the snacks -- perfection, you will not find a better tech company in Toronto.
Uberflip is now in the perfect spot -- the product is already proven and funded, but the atmosphere is still a fast-moving start-up (not a bureaucratic slow-moving enterprise).
CEO Yoav and CMO Randy are GENIUSES, must be said. CTO Colin is doing a great job leading engineering. They know what they are doing, and this company is going to be worth INSANE amounts of money within the next 5 years. And they are some of the the most genuine and caring people I have ever met. I'm so happy that they hired me, and that I get a chance to work with them and the other wonderful Uberflippers.
The product is a silent killer. Most of the world doesn't know about it, how it works, or how incredibly valuable it is. And yet, the proof is right there -- making tons of money for our company, making tons of money for our clients, making their lives so much easier, clients looove our product, and they love our amazing employees (seriously, nicest bunch of people you will ever work with). The product sells itself, it's a no-brainer. This product is going to revolutionize the marketing industry.
I love working here, I love my coworkers, I love going to work everyday, and my weekends feel empty and boring in comparison.
I can't think of any, I'm so freaking happy to work here. The culture team, and everyone at Uberflip, put in the effort to make every day at Uberflip an inviting and great place to be. Props to great leadership!
Advice to Management
LOL, you know what you're doing, you don't need my advice. But if you want bad advice, uh, pull an Oprah for the IPO. "You get a car, and you get a car, and you get a carrr!" I'll allow it.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Uberflip (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in February 2017.
Interviewer was late to call so proceeded to rush through the interview. Asked questions about me but then interrupted and asked 4 questions and immediately said I wasn't what they were looking for and asked if I wanted to donate money to their charity. I wasn't bothered by not being a right fit, I was bothered about how incredibly rude the interviewer was. I would never recommend applying here to anyone.
