    Difficult Interview
    Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Uhuru Network (Austin, TX) in Aug 2020

    Interview

Quite intensive, can fall through cracks however if following outside the usual process.

There is a video introduction which may scare some off, but it is a smart way to weed out communication style.

I took a non-traditional route through the company, which meant some of the standard processes got missed, but I can see how that would happen. Every person I met along the way was incredibly respectful and the kinds of people you'd like to work with.

They shared their culture bible which, interestingly, is always in "draft" mode as it's *meant* to be evolved based upon feedback. While I didn't end up pursuing this route, I have nothing but good things to say about them. I thought the reviews on here couldn't possibly be that high, but while I never actually stepped into the role, I can easily imagine how they would be.
    Interview

I don't think they followed a standard "interview questions' thing. It was a natural conversation about strategy and philosophy.

Our companies have evolved in many ways over the course of a decade. One of the biggest changes, however, has been the move from a traditional brick-and-mortar office environment to a 100 percent remote work setup. While this type of business model has brought changes in how we function, we’ve found that the benefits far outweigh any risks. We want to share with you why we’re committed to a 100 percent remote team, what that looks like, and how we function across continents and time zones. After reading this, you’ll have what you need to decide if this model is right for your company or whether you might want to start telecommuting yourself—in either a partially remote or fully remote capacity.
