This is the ULTA Beauty experience, as enjoyed by our guests and associates alike. It's expressed in being appreciated for who you are; having the confidence to experiment with new ideas and knowing that what's inside is what matters most.
At ULTA Beauty, our guests are at the center of everything we do.
Our goal is to inspire our guests to discover their own signature version of everyday beauty. Everyone who works here is united by the same passion – delivering the products, guest service, and expertise that beautify people's lives.
We are a high-growth, fast-paced retailer. You'll be challenged to learn and grow, empowered to share your ideas, and encouraged to celebrate our shared successes. Be part of a team that accomplishes wonderful things – by always doing the right thing – there is a place for you, here, at ULTA Beauty.
I have been working at Ulta Beauty full-time (Less than a year)
Good company values, decent work life balance, over time is frowned upon, great salon discount, company seems to value employees opinions through culture surveys annually and we saw change at a field level, good brand training, good opportunity for advancement
Pay is low for responsibilities expected to fulfill, time is not given to recruit or network outside their 4 walls, you must come from a strong leadership background as there is not really a structured leadership outline or program on the retail side of the business. Sense of urgency around filling management positions lacking from DM and higher.
Advice to Management
If your initiatives include staffing and scheduling, give us the time to recruit and network outside of the customers that walk in. Leaving management positions open for months and months is unacceptable. Continue to listen to your field staff through the culture surveys. We appreciate that you're listening and making changes. Spend the payroll so we can make money and protect our inventory. And last but most important, create a leadership program that teaches your "green" managers how to be better leaders so they can better inspire their employees.
Let’s start off by saying I’m not an interview person at all and tend to overthink when I go through them. I was completely blown away by the ease of talking with the GM and how effortless the interview felt; she was very sweet and it felt more like we were having a conversation rather than being evaluated. Guess my passion for the industry really shone through because I got an offer for the job just two days later!
