Hear what our team is saying about their work at Unit4:
Monika Leslivania, Systems Analyst (Singapore)
At Unit4, we are building solutions to solve our clients’ problems. Each piece of the puzzle is designed and thought out to help clients accomplish their tasks. As Steve Jobs once said, “design is not just about how it looks and feels like. The design is how it works.” Every client has their own unique problem and challenges. Being a Software Engineer at Unit4 has given me the privilege to design solutions that work for them.
William Ong, Support Consultant (Singapore)
“Joining Unit4 was a major career change for me, a departure from being an established accountant to become a support consultant. The training and structure I received from the company, leadership and peers to ensure I succeed in my role is simply phenomenal. This has motivated me to extend the same great level of support to our customers – now to power their successes.”
Xeno Cai, Implementation Consultant (Singapore)
“With Unit4, I had the opportunity to explore different roles, allowing me to further expand and enhance my skillsets. But what's really rewarding is seeing how our solutions are able to make a positive difference for our customers.”
Mariae Ho, Senior Systems Consultant (Singapore)
“Having worked for many years in a local Singapore company, it was definitely an eye-opener to see how operations are run by a global software company like Unit4. When I was welcomed into the Unit4 Asia Pacific family about 6 years ago, I faced a new environment while the company faced numerous challenges including the merging of companies and transitioning work style .Therefore, I find the following quote very apt: “All great changes are preceded by chaos.” I am very glad to say that I faced the challenges together with my colleagues and with the committed support from the Unit4 APAC management team, we are prepared and are moving towards even greater changes!”
Lode Maris, Sales Manager (Belgium)
“Challenging, Instructive, Inspiring, alternate, driving to the limits, successful, but most of all FUN! These are a few words to characterize my Unit4 experience during the past years. For me, the relationship between employer and employee is more than a paycheck at the end of the month, it’s about trust and a meaningful career path. This is exactly what Unit4 offers me. Looking forward to the future!”
Stijn Dietz, Chief Operations Officer Domestic Lines of Business, BSH Strategy & Operations (The Netherlands)
“As a former management consultant I have seen numerous businesses around the globe across various industries, and I can honestly say that Unit4 is an incredibly dynamic company in an incredibly dynamic industry. This drives rapid and continuous learning experiences which are invaluable for any employee that likes to develop themselves and seeks faster career progression.”
Ekaterina Boeva, Associate Sales Operation Analyst (The Netherlands)
I have joined Unit4 straight after university and ever since it has been an amazing learning experience for me. It is a very dynamic organization, which makes every day interesting and different. And I really enjoy working with colleagues from all over the world, which definitely gives a broader perspective on work and life.
David Warnink, Head of R&D (The Netherlands)
The speed that new technologies become available to enable us to add value for our customers has increased tremendously over the last years. I’m very proud that we are investing in our teams to adopt an agile approach to working, with a focus first on what is most important for the markets that we serve. At Unit4, we want to empower our people to take control over their own work and we trust them to add value to our company. We have no room for unnecessary bureaucracy or hierarchy.
In my time at Unit4, I have found that we consistently put:
It’s not that what’s on the right doesn’t have value; just what’s on the left is more important!
I’ve been with Unit4 since 1998, and still enjoy learning each day!
Melina Flores, Administrative Assistant (United States)
Unit4 has been an extremely great company to work for since day one, starting with the warm welcome and smooth onboarding training I received. It didn’t take long to become familiar and proficient in my new role for the company. The training I received from a fellow employee was phenomenal. To say the least, I’ve never been so delighted to train and start a new career with Unit4.
Helena Robert, Cloud Engineer (Poland)
I love being given a job to do and left alone to do it. I love the flexibility I have to balance my work life and home life. I enjoy people and the diversity of it all. I feel I am appreciated and allowed to take initiative to get things accomplished. I am trusted.
Frederick Igelstrom, IT Support Consultant (Poland)
‘Unit4 participates in many events to support the society and makes you feel like you are a part of something bigger. There are a lot of great challenges and space for development. To me, it feels like a second home that I enjoy going to every day.”
Josef Leopold, Associate IT Support Consultant (Poland)
“Being a part of such an international software company as Unit 4 is intriguing. I’m impressed by the close cooperation between R&D, professional services, and the support department, even though we are spread across the globe, and it makes me a proud member of the Unit4 family.
The technical insight and feedback between our departments provides me with the knowledge to find the correct information and solutions for the customers quickly and to their satisfaction.”
María Gallo Padilla, Business Analyst (Spain)
“Working with an awesome team of young, qualified and enthusiastic people creates a really nice environment that encourages me to give my very best in my daily work. I’m learning more and more every day to develop interesting and useful software aimed to ease our customers’ user experience.”
Oscar Lechago, Digital Marketing Manager (Spain)
“Time flies! It was like yesterday when I joined the company as a Consultant. It’s been over 12 years already and I’ve been given the opportunity to completely change my tasks every couple of years and learn lots of different perspectives in technology. As Project Manager, R&D Product Owner, Mobile Product Manager and my most recent position as Manager in Digital Marketing, I’ve been in several different departments working closely with my colleagues from diverse countries and cultures. Truly a genuine and interesting journey!”
“Unit4 is truly a diverse company in which it’s easy to feel you are part of a bigger thing. I’ve been lucky to collaborate with people from several departments and countries, all eager to collaborate with you in a genuine exchange of knowledge. I know work is not a place where you expect to make friends, but I am glad I made a few.”
“When I look back in time, I think the main reason I’ve invested over 12 years in Unit4 is that I’ve never been able to get bored. I’ve been empowered to embrace several changes and evolve professionally while learning lots of stuff from different departments in the process. In my opinion, the opportunity of collaborating with several colleagues from different countries and cultures is also a really energizing aspect of my day-to-day work.”
Alastair Pride, Senior Consultant (United Kingdom)
“During my time at Unit4 I have worked on some really challenging projects which have stretched me personally. I have an excellent network of colleagues on each project who have taken time to help my learning and development, allowing me to see how my contribution fits within the wider client goals. I really enjoy helping clients overcome the challenges and issues that arise in their projects.”
David McGrail, Managed Service Consultant (United Kingdom)
“Unit4 has shown me how a modern business embraces proven principles for developing their staff that other companies struggle to provide. I entered Unit4 as a managed support consultant in Harrogate providing client support on Unit4 Financials in Europe. Through mentorship (through my manager), in-house training (via YOUniversity), supported BCS membership, and being in an environment with other like-minded individuals striving to deliver the best as a team, I have noticed myself move forward greatly as professional services expert."
Unit4 offers a wide range of learning and professional development opportunities, including industry-specific knowledge programs, product education and process training, among many others. We maintain a robust online community where peers and Unit4 groups interact to share information and knowledge.
We also provide a digital portal for every team member to individually manage and drive their performance and development.
Unit4 takes responsible corporate citizenship very seriously and worldwide has a long track-record of supporting CSR activities and charitable initiatives.
Over the years, many of our colleagues have supported many good causes, creating impact by helping the environment, and raising money for underprivileged and sick people through various group and individual initiatives.
At the same time, spontaneous support and fundraising initiatives were organized for colleagues that were diagnosed with serious or terminal illnesses. As was the case with our former Benelux colleague, Danny van Brenk, who sadly passed away March 2017 after battling cancer for years. Throughout his illness, Unit4 colleagues supported him in raising funds for his expensive treatment in the US that was back then not available in the Netherlands and hence also not supported by the Dutch healthcare system.
It was Danny – and similar cases in other Unit4 offices worldwide – that inspired us to create the Unit Cares Foundation: an Unit4 fund for colleagues or their partner or children who are suffering from serious or terminal illnesses. To financially support them, where and when needed. To help them obtain a rare treatment abroad, make adjustments in their home, or other support that contributes to improving their health or wellbeing.
We don't get to decide who falls ill. What we can decide is who gets the support, the care and the attention in times of need. That’s what the Unit4 Cares Foundation is all about.

Employees are challenged. Opportunities to grow and solve problems. Products impact customer businesses.
Not so well known in US.
Advice to Management
Let teams solve problems. Keep initiatives limited to those that move the needle.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Unit4 (Reading, England (UK)).
The interview was slightly Informal as it was in front f a panel rather 1-1 with he CEO and the Sales Director consecutively. Coincidentally on the same day for convenience. This offered the opportunity for indepth discussion.
