Palmetto had excellent senior leadership that that moved forward with United. I have faith they will address the following cons.
Lack of top down communication or cross department communication - everybody doesn't seem on the same page about what's going on. Needs investment in technology from employee perspective (systems, application). Technology is acceptable from client standpoint (mobile banking, mobile deposit)
Advice to Management
You've got great leaders from Palmetto. Use and empower them.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at United Community Banks (Blairsville, GA).
The people that worked there did not seem that knowledgeable. They would make up answers if they weren't sure of the correct answer. The interview process just didn't feel like a professional atmosphere like a bank should be. They were more interested in who I knew rather than what I knew. I just don't trust the company.
