Culture
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to honor a few of the many ways that our teams support the well-being of our employees and their families. Susan G., Business Development Supervisor at our Charlotte, NC corporate office, recently shared a valuable exercise that her team engages in every day. "Every morning, I give my team the option to share something in our daily huddle that they are thankful or grateful for. It's an opportunity to build a United team and possibly impact someone’s day for the better. Research shows that expressing gratitude can be so beneficial."

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at United Rentals (United States)

    Interview

Do not apply unless you plan to dedicate your life to this company. In the interview they talked about how this is a very demanding position with on-call weekend shifts. You practically have to know everything. When I asked about training, they mentioned sending the person out to somewhere local to do some job shadowing. Apparently "local" to them meant sending someone out to a neighboring state. They were also mentioning things that were not in the job description like being able to unload trucks with a forklift on days where it may be slow. Poor transparency.

Would you be interested in working outdoors, like in the summer?
