I worked at United States House of Representatives part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Removing some of the bureaucratic red tape that people find cluttering the systems they need to survive.

    Cons

Dealing with highly politically polarizing people that have very little understanding of the system and personally attack you for working with a particular political figure.

    Advice to Management

Be prepared to meet people of every walk of life. Be flexible because this is a time consuming job with many rewards but several disappointments.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at United States House of Representatives.

    Interview

Great experience interviewing for congressional aide. It was very laid back and we had a wonderful two way conversation. Got to know each other and I heard back within a few hours. I got the job and started the next week. Fast and great interview.
