We’re a company driven by ideas, innovation and excellence. As a worldwide leader in the building and aerospace industries, we constantly seek talented individuals to create innovative products and solutions for our customers. Our success depends on the unique perspectives, experience and ideas of our people. That’s why some of the brightest minds in the world work at UTC.
We aim to move the world forward. At UTC, we're in the process of rapidly expanding our digital capabilities and optimizing our software development processes.
To accelerate change, we've selected several "lighthouse" projects that are critical to our business success: customer experience, service personnel experience, and employee experience.

Few companies can change the world: We are one. As a company driven by ideas, we rely on the ingenuity, diversity and commitment of our people to help us make cities greener, people more secure and travel more efficient. At UTC, we do the big things that others cannot.
UTC is committed to offering competitively priced benefit programs that offer substantial value to our employees. Part of that commitment includes monitoring new market developments and enhancing our programs when appropriate. Whether our benefits help you today or 20 years from now, they all support UTC’s benefits philosophy.
This philosophy is based on providing our employees with:
The individual plans that make up UTC benefits are designed to balance your immediate needs (such as paying for health care) with your longer-term focus (like planning for retirement).
Our goal is to ensure UTC employees have the tools to prepare for retirement. The UTC Savings Plan has more than 100,000 participants and is designed to be flexible enough to serve all of them depending on investment know-how and risk tolerance.
In addition to the broad range of investment options available in the plan, we recently added an innovative feature called the Lifetime Income Strategy. This feature gives you the opportunity to turn all or a portion of your Savings Plan account balance into a reliable source of income after you retire.
UTC also offers all employees the opportunity to sign up for HelloWallet, a personalized financial guidance application. This service includes systematic help with setting up a budget, goal setting and tracking, getting out of debt, and finding the money to invest in the Savings Plan.
It is our goal to provide you with flexible, comprehensive coverage that works for you. We offer medical and dental plans that provide for both routine and necessary health care. Employees are also eligible to participate in tax-advantage accounts such as the Health Savings Account, the Health Care Spending Account and the Dependent Care Spending Account. These tax-advantaged accounts allow you to pay eligible expenses with pretax dollars. Additionally, you can enroll in life insurance for you and your family, vision insurance and long-term disability coverage.
Employee fitness centers are available at certain locations.
In addition to your paid vacation days, we offer you the opportunity to purchase an additional one to five days of vacation through our UTC Choice program. We'll help ease the financial burden by spreading out the costs over the course of the year.
UTC's Employee Scholar Program encourages employees to develop additional skills and engage in lifelong learning. The program covers eligible expenses for classes taken by eligible employees in any field of study at UTC-approved educational institutions. The program also provides paid time off for related academic work and pays covered expenses on behalf of eligible participants to minimize out-of-pocket costs. This program is in addition to on-the-job and other professional development programs.
If you are not a full-time employee of UTC, but are working 20 to 35 hours per week, then you're eligible to enroll in the Part-Time UTC Choice program. Essentially, this program gives you the benefits of the standard UTC Choice program available to full-time employees with the exception of the Purchased Vacation option. If you are eligible for part-time benefits, you will also be eligible for the Employee Scholar Program, Business Travel Accident Insurance and Adoption Assistance.
With the competing demands of work and family, keeping the old standard work hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. has become increasingly difficult to manage for some. Personal matters sometimes require you to alter your schedule, and UTC understands this. This is why we offer flexible work hours to eligible employees, at the discretion of their supervisor. You might work from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., or you might start the day at 10 a.m. and work until 6 p.m. With our Flexible Work Arrangements, you can talk to your supervisor and find out whether a different work schedule might be good for you.
LifeWorks is a comprehensive resource and referral program designed to give UTC employees practical solutions, information and support with everyday issues. Through this free, confidential program, employees and their immediate families have 24/7 telephone and online access to professional consultants for help with a wide range of issues, including personal finance, parenting, elder care, education, health, work and career questions, emotional well-being, and more.

Interview
Contacted via email for a phone interview short notice. They told me the next morning and then got the date wrong, but I figured it out and made time anyway. Conducted a 30 minute phone interview, and then never bothered to get back to me after to let me know either way.
