I have been working at Universal American full-time (More than 10 years)
My Executive Director has been exceptional to work for, and I have intentionally made choices that would allow me to continue reporting to her. The overall organization seems well-balanced in terms of gender equality in executive roles. The organization strives to take good care of their employees while simultaneously meeting corporate goals, initiatives, and measures.
As a remote employee, I haven't gotten to take part in many office-typical employee engagement activities, but that is likely a by-product of telecommuting in general and not necessarily specific to Universal American.
Advice to Management
I applied online. I interviewed at Universal American.
Typical. In person, 2 person local interview after responding to geographical location specific need inquiry. Friendly. Followed by phone interview with executive director. Then f/u by HR , within 2 week time frame.
