I worked at University of Denver full-time (More than a year)
Since the institution has been around for so long, they are able to offer quite a bit of support and have an incredible benefits program. Lots of departments creating lots of opportunities to transfer laterally or for other various growth opportunities. Large group of the staff has been there for quite a while proving employee retention is strong.
Because the institution is quite old, there are ways, some more obvious than others, in which they are pretty old-fashioned.
Advice to Management
Completely dependent upon the college.
I applied online. I interviewed at University of Denver (University of Denver, CO).
Meet with hiring authority for one-on-one interview, then meet with panel of employees from the department. Answer scripted questions by the various panel members. Questions were part knowledge based and part behavioral.
