I worked at University of North Alabama part-time
Great atmosphere on the campus
Like most university job, you never know when or where the money will be coming from or going to.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at University of North Alabama (Florence, AL) in April 2016.
Hiring process was stop-and-start. It started late, and was rushed to finish before graduation. I had good communication with the college administration at points. Job description, goals, and benefits were made clear. UNA has a flattened salary structure for faculty across the universituy, with some flexibility within the individual colleges. Never got a live answer from the HR department... it was always form emails.
