I worked at University of Puget Sound part-time (More than a year)
Note: This review is for a Resident Community Coordinator position that compensates student workers with free room (similar to a Resident Assistant) and should not be misinterpreted as a Resident director or similar paid, full-time position review.
-Fantastic support for those employed by Resident life from coworkers, resident directors, and other campus offices
-Opportunities to create and develop new events and programs for residents
-A good balance of work duties with student life
-Meal plan not included
-Uneven work load, part of the job is availability to residents, and a resident crisis doesn't always come at a convenient time
Advice to Management
-At times the extensive training sessions in the Fall can get quite tedious. I think having more student presenters helps.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at University of Puget Sound.
The interview process was straightforward and relatively simple as it was applying for a work study position. They will ask your interest about football and your time commitments durning the fall practice schedule.
