Is it worth leaving an established tech company to join a tech start-up for the same compensation ? For context: The start-up is a YC backed company with a lot of potential upside. At my current role I feel like I am doing the same thing over and over and ready for a change. The role at the start-up builds off of my current role but adds a lot more to it. I have 2.5 YOE in total.

Cons

Advice to Management

Make final interviews shorter/more compact, empower hiring managers to trust their gut on if a candidate is going to be a good fit for the position instead of seeking strong approval from multiple

    Interview

I interviewed with Upside and then never heard from them again. It takes less than a minute to send a short rejection email, something like this: "Thank for you taking the time to interview with us. We have decided to move forward with other candidates. We wish you the best in your job search." I invite Upside to use the paragraph above. Sending an update like this is the bare minimum of polite behavior, and failure to do so leaves a negative impression of your organization.
