I worked at Upstream full-time
Great exposure, growth potentials if you're willing to relocate after accounts, Good pay compared to market standards, flexibility with working hours if you're not in the main office.
Unpredictable workload with periods of extreme stress and weekends working. Management transparency can be improved. Old technology when it comes to internal processes (still using excel for accounting), Market is volatile due to the international nature.
Advice to Management
Overall good management with the usual politics from time to time.
Listen to voices within and not just in the HQ.
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Upstream (New York, NY) in October 2016.
Applied online, the whole process took 1 month. I had 3 interviews (1 with the hr manager, 1 with the hiring managers, 1 with the campaign director) and 2 tests (1 numerical - GRE like questions, easy if you are familiar with possibilities and data management and 1 marketing - easy if you are familiar with KPIs. They also asked me to write down all the messages for a campaign)
