    Principal Software Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate in San Jose, CA

    Easy Interview

    Application

    I applied online. I interviewed at VIVA USA (San Jose, CA) in August 2017.

    Interview

    One round of telephonic in which lots of unwanted things were covered which could have been done over email, and there was absolutely less time for technical interview.
    Few onsite at their Pleasanton, CA office.

    Interview Questions

    • Interviewer didn't even bother to share if this was a technical or hr or immigration round.

      Few questions on my profile while cribbing continuously about the resume format being hard to read (it was a 1 page resume!!). Question on immigration, and HR question and last 10 minutes was technical round, in which he asked about;

      1. java 2.0 style list ie List l = new Arraylist(), and add values and guess what it and print. I don't think they know that java 9 will be out soon. I asked him if this code compiles fine, he very rudely moved on to the next question.
      2. Writing a dynamic programm question.
      3. A question on Java polymorphism.
      4. Abrupt ending of interview that would leave you speechless.   1 Answer
