    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at Vancity (Vancouver, BC (Canada)) in November 2016.

    Interview

    Submitted online application
Recruitment person called me and left repeated messages - wanted me to come in the next day
Only communicated via voice-mail unable to speak in person kept missing each other so confirmed a time and date that worked for both parties via voice-mail. Said he would email me back to confirm everyything - he did not.
Unclear whether it was a phone interview or in person interview.
Looked him up on LinkedIn to obtain email - emailed him after a day or two had passed.
He confirmed who I would meet with in return. Unclear if it was in person or via phone. Unable to clairfy until the day of the interview via email.
    Phone interview went well.
Two weeks passed without any feedback and then I was sent a generic email - no opportunity to ask for feedback on why I was unsuccessful.
I appreciate these roles are highly competitive so understand why I wasn't selected to move forward but they are a large company. I currently work for a small organization and recruitment is only one part of what we do but we always confirm all details via email on the same day, we always call back candidates that we speak to in person and give them constructive feedback. I was surprised at the lack of professionalism and the process for such a large organization.
