Working casual/on-call allowed me the freedom to pursue travel interests yet still be assured that I'd have income to pay for those trips!
None come to mind but I guess that being casual/on-call also means that work is always ever present because a call could come everyday requesting your presence.
Advice to Management
Management appears to attempt to strike a good balance between work demands/patient care and the ever present budget restrictions but, as always, trimming the fat at the top to ensure this balance is not always easily or readily achieved.
Applied online, completely forgot I applied for the position, then received a call from the unit managers assistant to set up an interview. It was a 2:1 interview with the unit manager and the Nurse educator.
Interview questions were asked directly from a form with alternating interviewers asking the questions. Plenty of scenario questions
Reasons for Declining
I didn't feel like I was going to be a good fit for the position.
