Vantiv – Why Work For Us?

Making an impact isn’t something reserved for people in corner offices. At Vantiv, it comes from people in every corner of the office. People with ambition, optimism and courage. We provide growth and opportunity and give employees flexibility in how they get the job done. You might not expect that from a big payments company, but we’re smart enough to know how to hire the best and when to step aside and let them lead. Our goal is that you never stop learning and you never cease to amaze—especially yourself. If this fits your career goal, we can’t wait to welcome you on board.  Watch our video below to hear our ideal employee described, we call them Envisioneers.

For 40 years, our team of committed professionals has made us one of the most trusted and respected organizations in the payment processing industry. We’ve driven many of the changes that prompted the shift from cash to electronic payments, and that innovative spirit continues to be our strength. We’re innovators, thought leaders, boundary pushers. Vantiv is changing the face of payments.

We strive to be a trusted partern in navigating the changing payments landscape by simplifying payments innovation.

We are passionate about what we do. We work together to tackle the toughest problems with a winning attitude. We continuously improve ourselves and our work. We have strong character and do the right thing. We value people and have fun.

Impacting the Community through VantivGives

At Vantiv, we pride ourselves on having strong character and making a positive impact on the communities where we live and work.

Through our community outreach program VantivGives, employees have the opportunity to lend their voluntary support to nonprofit programs that enrich the quality of life of others. Each year our employees volunteer at local schools and charitable organizations – both individually and with their teams. Whether tutoring kids, helping college-bound students complete financial aid forms or working at the local food pantry, our employees selflessly use their expertise and winning attitude to help those around them.

As part of VantivGives, we provide our passionate employees with a variety of support for their philanthropic activities:

  • Each full-time employee is provided with eight hours of paid volunteer time-off (VTO) that they can use to volunteer in the community each year.
  • To help support the financial needs of non-profit organizations, we double the impact of our employees’ donations by matching their contributions dollar-for-dollar through our Matching Gift program.
  • We also offer employees ongoing opportunities to get involved while at work from supporting large, national United Way charity campaigns to smaller, local charities.

Our hard work really pays off. Over the last 16 years, we’ve received 24 Quality Service and Data Integrity awards from Visa® and MasterCard® for our best-in-class customer service and support across our payment processing and data security solutions. And we’re just getting started.

We get lots of attention. For lots of reasons.

I have been working at Vantiv full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Awesome culture. Reminds me of a really cool tech start up environment. Leadership is super visible, hands on, and supportive of career development. Awesome company performing well in the marketplace in a very unique industry of payment processing/financial technology.

Excellent core values of being passionate about what we do, demonstrating a winning attitude, continuous improvement, strong character and value our people.

    Cons

As with any newer and rapidly growing company, things shift and change quite often (which I actually like but it's not for everyone).

    IT Support Manager Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Vantiv (Durango, CO).

    Interview

Thirteen separate conversations over a 3-month period. Multiple phone interviews, multiple individuals meetings, group interview with support team. This seemed excessive at the time, but I later found out that it was not too unusual for my hiring manager. What I wished I had known at the time was that the drawn-out process was actually consistent with this manager's lack of focus and too-broad scope of responsibility.

    Interview Questions

    • The support team has traditionally been a conduit to other roles in the company. How do you address that? And will it be any different for you?   Answer Question
