I have been working at Varsity Spirit full-time (More than 5 years)

The best company to work for in the Cheer and Dance Industry. The resources available such as full benefits, a 401K plan, and the overall stability in the market are unlike any in the industry. This company is not going anywhere. This company has a flexible work environment offering both in and out of office positions. A company that has events all over the country and even international, and depending on your role allows for travel to incredible locations.

The promotion process and ability to move up can be limited depending on what division you work with. I also think they have a hard time letting employees go that are not producing simply because they have been there a long time or are "friends" with everyone.

    Advice to Management

I would love things to be more transparent. A lot is done behind closed doors things like raises, promotions and bonus opportunities are not clear to employees from the beginning. People work harder when they know what they are working for. Getting rid of some of the dead weight increases moral and keeps people motivated to perform at their best.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Varsity Spirit (Dallas, TX) in May 2011.

My resume was first screened and then an interview was offered. Met with the entire team and went through questions they had. I then asked a few follow up questions about the job. This process was different than most companies because I had worked in the field part-time already so they already knew me and my background.
