    Pros

I am glad to say I worked for vector for 14 years and I think I was very fortunate to find such an outstanding company, I enjoyed every moment working at vector, although I only new one of the owners to talk to Jeff Zukerman, I was always aware of the open door policy available for the staff, working in the construction industry it is well known there are times when there is little work, and people have to sit at home, but I know from first hand the company go out of there way to keep everyone working, I would still be working for vector but I retired at the begging of August.I was very happy to retire but very sad to leave all the great people who work at vector.

    Cons

I am very happy to say I do not have any thing to say in this section

    Advice to Management

keep on doing what you have been doing since the company started, I know it is a very competitive industry, but I have always said that the owners at vector are very smart people and will keep the company busy.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at VectorUSA (Torrance, CA) in September 2016.

    Interview

Roughly one week after submitting an application I was contacted by a corporate (internal) recruiter for a preliminary phone screening after which my resume was forwarded to the hiring manager. The recruiter then called back to schedule a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager and a human resources manager. To my surprise the IT Director (hiring manager's manager) also made himself available to join the interview.
Overall the interview was conducted very professionally and the atmosphere was positive throughout. There were some expected questions that I was prepared for and some unexpected but smart questions. I was told to plan for an hour-long interview and the hour passed quickly.

    Interview Questions

    • How would I convince a customer of the benefits of using a service management tool (to track issues, etc.) when the customer feels that use of a service management tool would essentially slow down service?   Answer Question
    • In my past experience how did I handle prioritizing multiple urgent customer requests?   Answer Question
