I worked at Vera Wang (Less than a year)
I personally loved working at Vera Wang. My mentor/boss for my internship was extremely helpful and so incredibly nice. She gave me an array of tasks and was able to expose me to many aspects of the company. There was even a day where she personally took me to the Madison Ave. store to give me a personal tour and explained a day in the life of a store worker.
Sometimes with everyone so busy in their own work interns were left with little to do.
Unpaid although they do offer college credit
Advice to Management
Have a better prepared program for interns to learn and grow. Offer paid lunch to compensate for unpaid work.
I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at Vera Wang (New York, NY).
Interview to talk about skills, sewing skills, and they would roughly see your portfolio. They tell you what they do at the department and what you would be doing.Very Basic and they care more about your experience with sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, etc
